ABOUT THE WOOD: This quarterboard sign is made from all natural, rough sewn, western red cedar which will have varying grain patterns and shades of reddish-tan color. The wood will have natural knots, which can show through the stain, text, and/or graphics. Other characteristics of all natural wood including imperfections, cracks, blemishes add to the beauty of each unique piece.
If your cedar sign is exposed to direct weather, it will need some maintenance. Light sanding and re-sealing with all weather urethane is all that is needed, depending on length of time exposed to and harshness of weather conditions.
